Emails!

Have you ever wondered how it feels like to have friends across the country? Having friends from another country could be both difficult and addicting. You can share about many interesting things in your life with them, and vice versa.

There are many ways to communicate with people around the world: postcards, sending letters, social media, and emails. You can choose any of them based on your preferences.

It's kind of usual to see people checking their social media just to chat with friends of browse some news, but, to be honest, it's kind of surprising for me to see that still many people use emails as their tool of communication. Since social media already takes role in most parts of our life, people began to use emails only for business occasion and some of them also thinks that sending emails can be considered as old-fashioned.

Lately, I’ve been emailing a Russian girl named Lena. She is nice and a pretty cool girl. I enjoyed giving some of my time to have a little chat with her. We talk about many things and it is fun!

I’ve asked about her permission regarding this and she said she’ll be glad to help me. I met her in a pen palling site and we started to email with each other. We talked about a lot of things, including introducing ourselves and giving out any personal information we’d like to give.

About giving personal information, you need to make sure your partner doesn’t have any intention to harm you. It’s not that I warn you to become aware to anyone you meet on the internet (or everywhere), but awareness is a must nowadays and also a way to defend yourself from any danger you may face if you meet a wrong person. Any harm they'll do to you including scam, leaked personal information or privacy, and so on. Fortunately, Lena is a good girl; she is very nice and humble to me, even that we just met on the internet.

Having a pen pal from another country is sure exciting, you can try to have some from certain sites even from social media. Send them a message if you want to be their pen pal. Use formal words if you just met them, later you can be more casual if both of you already know each other. Just never let your guard down or else someone may takes advantage from you.

Happy pen palling! :)
