Making Announcement and Poster

This time I'm going to explain about making announcement and poster.

Seeing posters and announcement has been a part of our daily life. We did saw them almost everyday, even when you first start your day right after going off from the bed.

Announcements

When making an announcement, you need to pay attention to some details including the title of the event, one or two sentences which describe the event, dates and time, also an additional information of the event that will be held. These details are really important especially if you want many people to join in. About the design itself, it could be an optional since some announcement also has a plain background and more formal way, but if you want to make the informal one, I suggest you to at least give one picture and use different types of fonts so it will look less plain compared to the formal types of announcement.

This is one example of announcement I made before. It's about Philatelic Week, if you don't know what it is about you can imply from the background picture. See that this also proves the idea of engaging more people since they know what Philatelic is only by seeing the provided picture.

Posters

The second one is about making posters. Poster has similarities with announcement. One of the differences is that poster made for several purposes, it could be for advertisement, giving motivational quotes, and so on. Making posters sometimes require some editing or designing software, you can just download it right from internet for free, or paying it first.

While some announcement doesn't need to be showy, posters does. This can be tricky since the design itself will change the way people think. If the purpose is to advertise something, then all you have to do is to make a poster which will draw more attention from people, so they will be interested with it. But, if you want to e.g make a motivational poster, then you also need to think about the structure of the sentences, the designs, and the message that will be implied into it.

Don't forget that most posters should have simple and fewer words on it. The key is to make people understand, not to explain something.

If you are feeling like having no inspiration at all, you can gain some by searching through google, or maybe just sit down and see the real world in front of your eyes. Poster could be either simple or complicated, it's up to your choice. Be creative, the imagination is endless.
